Short Videos Are Weirdly Stressful

Short-form video is supposed to be the easy content.
That’s what everyone says.
“Just make a quick video!”
“Just film what you're doing!”
“Just post consistently!”
Okay but here’s the thing.
When you're actually making short videos, you suddenly become very aware of everything.
Your lighting.Your voice.Your messy craft table. The fact that you forgot what you were saying halfway through a sentence.
Also editing.
Editing short videos is a whole skill by itself. Cutting clips, adding text, lining things up with music, trying to make it interesting without making it look like a chaotic fever dream.
Sometimes I’ll sit down to film a quick video and suddenly an hour has passed and I’ve recorded fourteen takes of the same thing.
But even though it can be frustrating, I actually really enjoy the creative side of it.
Short videos are a fun way to show what goes into making crochet pieces, the mistakes along the way, and the little moments that happen behind the scenes.
Plus sometimes the chaos is the best part.
