Getting Ready for Vendor Events Is a Whole Situation

If you’ve never prepared for a vendor event before, let me paint a picture.

You spend weeks making inventory.

Scarves.Hats.Keychains.Random things that seemed like a great idea at midnight while you were crocheting and watching crime documentaries.

Then suddenly the event is getting close and you start questioning everything.

Do I have enough inventory?

Do I have too much inventory?

Are people going to want these colors?

Should I make more small items?

Do people even buy crochet things at events anymore?

Vendor event preparation is basically a combination of crafting, guessing, and mild panic.

But at the same time, vendor events are one of my favorite parts of running this business.

You get to meet real people. You get to talk about crochet. You get to watch someone pick up something you made and get genuinely excited about it.

There’s something really special about that moment.

So even though preparing for them can be stressful, I’m always excited when event season starts rolling around.
